Ma's reaching today..................me so excited :)
I am going to Las Vegas with ma...aman joins us there with 3 other cousins.
Whoooo......too much happening too sooon......in 3 years I havent been to the west coast once and now I am going for 2 days. The best part...its with my cousins and ma and bro.......we would spend a lot of time together in India....and now we all are meeting in Vegas.....I am so so soooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!

Over the last 2 or 3 years I have come to believe this more and more ki kuch sahi ya galat nahin hota.......its all relative.......hum kin haalat mein paida hote hain....kya seekhte hain.....dekhte hain.....its like a gradual etching process......and once etched there is no going back......there is further growth depending on previous history ofcourse .................and observing all that.....understanding it......and knowing people is fun!!!!!
Coming back to the movie......younger generation and their involvement in politics........thats what it is to sum it up.....but the approach to portray this scenario is unconventional...........and superb!!!
The scene where Ajay Devgan....defines love ......nothing more than a hormonal trigger.....to Esha Deol and how its all simply organic chemistry....is sweet....and still ends up saying I love you.....at the end of the love is bullshit talk!
Its a movie worth watching for sure!!!
Maine abhi realise kiya that I have finished writing 100 posts.......and I dont why this is always the magic number......lekin century hote hi you get a feeling of great achievement......chahein woh cricket mein ho....ya phir exams mein....ya phir 100 years jeene ki dua......."Sau saal jiyoge tum" ....Kyun bolte hain.....why not 200 or 99...or 101.....?????????????????
Mujhe lagta hai mere blog ko thode change ki jaroorat hai.....and the present template is only temporary..............I have a few nice ideas in my mind.......bas implement karne mein thodi der lagegi !!!!!
Ma and bhai are coming to meet me :)......ma mere ghar aayengi.....first time...she will see me living independently....what I mean when I say my house....or my family here...how I keep it....how I manage everything......she will be shocked!!!!
Back in India....my room was always a mess......I would not bother to even keep my clothes inside (jabki woh dhul ke aur press karke milte the).......I would leave my books outside....phir room mein kuch nahin milta tha......and then my dear masi would come every weekend and she and mom would clean up the mess for me..............and whats worse....main nakhre karti thi...mere kapde theek se rakha karo almaari mein.....samajhta kyun nahin hai.....blah blah blah...........and the rest of the house.....that wasnt my problem....mom's responsibility..............I had lots more to think about.............and now.......she will have to come and see.....and I shall make it a point to post her response................my prediction........I am going to see tears sparkling in those lovely eyes!!!!!
Agar north India mein rehte ho........non-veg khate ho.........aur khaane ke liye jeete ho......to kebabs ka shaukeen hona must hai.......seekh kebab in a roomali roti uspar hari pudine ki chatni aur pyaz.....roll it and its the best hot dog...or franky equivalent that I ever had. India mein kabhi barbeque karne ki zaroorat nahin padi.......drive down to the market.......aur thele par fish tikka...chicken tikks...paneer tikka....tandoori chicken (my mouth is watering) sab milta tha !!!!
ab yahan amrica mein......kya kiya jaaye......so this weekend we decided to barbeque these delicacies........I have been to atleast 10 barbeque parties in the last 3 years.....but this one was probably the best in terms of food........we had so much variety....tandoori chicken......reshmi kebab......seekh kebab........paneer tikka.......grilled stuffed mushrooms.....and everything turned out to be delicious......our personal kebab corner!!!
There is little doubt that the coveted post belongs to Sonia Gandhi????
The question is Why???? The argument that the country chose her as one is questionable......but thats what the Lok Sabha results clearly indicate. Extensive post election analysis will be the headlines of all newspapers and talk of the country till Vajapayeeji retires or the new government is formed. And since I have little knowledge of politics (and little knowledge happens to be dangerous) my viewpoint is certainly limited by what I understand.
Most of the people I had spoken to believed NDA will be back in power...but surprise surprise....its not!!! People intelligently vote for those who would work for their benefit after the elections too.....or unintelligently vote for a name they are in awe of.......or forcefully vote for the stronger candidate......etc etc etc. And what happens on the local scale dictates who rules at the Center. It will be interesting to know how many want Sonia to become the PM?????
I know I dont !!! Why????
The argument that she is of international origin is absolutely baseless. She's been living in this country for long enough....mariied an Indian......and has lived by Indian traditions (atleast for the public)!!!!!
However whats questionable is her ability to be a PM.....her understanding, her maturity, her knwoledge ..........all is at question. India is growing at a fast pace today......and the economic and social viability of this result for the country is at question. Is she well qualified to become the leader of our country??
But then she doesnt make these decisions alone........and all we can do is WAIT AND WATCH!!!!!
My idea of a romantic evening....
Mujhe yeh blog bahut pehle likhna tha but .....due to unavoidable computer problems.......nahin likh payi.
I have always loved reading archies.........their world had an aura to it.....specially back in India and when I was a few years younger........the time when archies world was exciting and fun a school like Riverdale........or dating.......or hanging out with friends at Pop tates.........the burgers, ice cream sundaes etc etc etc.......
Hamaare college days mein hamne bhi yeh sab masti ki hai.........and once you see that life living in america........it loses the mystic touch.............you can do similar things and relate to them!
Betty was my fav always.....and her dates with archie..........defined romance for me in my wonder years.............My fav was the drive in theater concept. Me, a movie buff......a beautiful starry night.........tum....woh .......tumhari gaadi.......and a nice movie.................isnt that perfect ! Naturally i wanted to go to a drive in theater and 15 days back I did finally.....for the first time................though it wasnt exactly romantic........15 of us together.....no boyfriend..................but it was fun to say the least........................loved the concept..................and I will make sure someday it turns out to be my perfect romantic evening with someone special !!!!
